fun facts of myself

I collect Pyrex bowls. Confront me with a Pyrex bowl at a thrift shop and it's probably coming home with me.

I make at least one pot of tea every day even though I can't handle much caffeine.

I eat honey straight.

I like weeding.

I have to be barefoot in the house.

I throw water balloons against my garden wall when I feel just too angry for anything.

I pluck at stoplights.

While driving, if there's a hawk sitting in a tree anywhere in the vicinity, I'll spot it.

When I travel, I always bring home a rock.

I have to take off all my jewelry at night.

I wear earplugs at the movies.

I love writing letters by hand.

I can feel my eyelashes catching on each other and sometimes that drives me nuts.

My teeth are placed in such a way that there is this certain spot where pieces of spinach, etc. always catch. When I ask my husband how my teeth are after a meal out, he always looks right at that spot to see if I'm in the clear.

I make chocolate chip scones an average of once a week. Recipe here.

I like following garage sale signs.

What about you? Care to share a fun fact or two of note about yourself?

I like following garage sale signs too... you never know what treasure might be right down the street!

I've been enjoying your blog and your flickr pages. I live nearby in Roslyn. I can't drink black tea during the day for some reason, so I drink it at night, and drink green tea or coffee during the day (and probably don't need the caffeine effects either). I have a rock that I picked up in Illinois years ago that I still love, and also pick up rocks whenever I can. I just came in the house from the garden, barefoot...i love it!
I could go on, this is fun!
Thanks for sharing and for asking!

Hee, I happened upon a garage sale today while we were out for our morning walk. Love them, even if I never buy anything.

And thanks for an idea for Monday's list!

Cindy: Oh, fun ~ my grandparent's lived in Roslyn and I used to visit them often & pick blackcaps in their backyard. They sold the house years ago but I have many fond memories, and even some plants from my gramom's garden there. :) Thanks for sharing your fun facts: another fellow barefooter, I see!

Angela: I so love garage sales: that sense of anticipation and the possibility of "the find!" love it. I'll check your list monday. :)

Oh, that's so sweet (oh, not intending a pun ;-)). I wonder if they were close to me. I had to look up blackcaps, now I know, they grow in the woods behind us, and i think in some of the neighbor's yards. I never realized that the black one's were a different variety of raspberry. Where did they live? You can email me so as not to be broadcasting addresses. That's pretty cool!

Cindy, not sure what street they were on, but it was near Easton Road and the post office was within walking distance. :)

I think I know where you mean. Those are nice streets for walking around there. My boys like to ride their bikes there because the streets are nice and quiet. There's another etsy seller in that area too ;-). We're a bit south of there, still in walking distance from the p.o. but a longer walk.

Hi there, thanks for stopping by my blog. I love your blog name - there's always time for tea here too - you should try decaf tea then you could have more than one pot per day :o) We always bring pebbles home from our travels too.
