whistle & hum

my weekend was ~

studio-time,
long stretches of reading,
flowers and
seed-planting,
waking yesterday to bagpipes ~
the parade goes past my house,
fans turned on all day,
flip-flops and linen pants,
iced tea,
cutting 5 inches off my hair
in the bathroom with my studio scissors,
brunch & a book at my favorite outdoor eatery,
baking chocolate chip scones,

and

using the nd gel filter
on my Polaroid film,
which adjusts the problem
I was having with overexposure.
(no longer a problem ~
see above Polaroid!)

now back to work...

waking to bagpipes! what a way to welcome a new day... the parade goes by our house as well, so it was inevitable for us to watch. glad we were both able to have a long enjoyable weekend.

Sounds like a PERFECT weekend! It got up to 72 and sunny here, which is HOT for here, and very enjoyable to stick my face in!

barbara ~ the parade is fun to have so near...but loud! I do love the bagpipes though! Glad to hear you had a great weekend too. :)

Laura ~ I wish it had only been 72 here: it's been so warm and humid, hence the fans, iced tea, etcetera. I can't believe it's june already! :)

5 inches off! Your hair must feel so much lighter! Went to see my neice graduate high school this weekend, then just rested and cooked. Oh, and caught poison ivy and went to the doctor for that. So there you go.

things i love: thanks! I used to babysit ~ I love watching the little ones: just pop them in a sling and go for a walk! :)

Erin Wallace: My hair does feel lighter and I think it looks better with my long face. :) I've been thinking about it for a while and...just did it! It's so much cooler, too. Sorry to hear about the poison ivy: hope it's drying up! That stuff is the worst!

natalea: thanks! :) it was a lovely long weekend.
