tea and paintbrush

tea with cat.
tea and mimi

I'm waiting on my second pot of tea but Tim has taken the electric kettle to melt the ice out front. This morning I took a walk to see the ice-clad trees, and slid my way down the sidewalk under the drips through a foggy landscape. Cardinals are so stunning against the white.

Back to the house to finish a little painting ~ I kept dipping my paintbrush into my tea.

These feathers are for a show next month.

I think I'll make chocolate chip scones later on, and do a little of this.

I love the sound of ice-clad trees. There are none here, though I did see two icicles on a tree this morning. It was most unexpected.

Enjoy your second pot of tea!

Thanks! I will. :) Ice is all melting now, due to a rise in temperature ~ there is much dripping...

pretty :) so delicate looking and even better to know they have been graced with some very yummy tea. how can i get your blog to talk to my email when you write a new post? i tried subscribing, but it obviously didn't want me :( because i never receive email alerts...any ideas? if not, i'll just keep stalking facebook for glimpses of a new blog post.

Jojo ~ Thanks! Sounds nice where you are...

Jenna ~ I don't know how to do that. If you "follow" a blog on blogspot ~ click at the top left of the page, then when you go to your "dashboard" (upper right corner of your blog after hitting "design") it'll show updates from that blog. I don't know how to get email updates. Hmmm. I usually just bookmark blogs I check on and get to them that way. :)

Thanks, Lotte. :)

Alfie ~ I am so hooked!!! I won't say a peep about what happens in the final one...I just love Maggie Smith ~ have you seen Godford Park? Brilliant also. I love Mr. Bates' character...it's all so good.

I love Gosford Park ~ such a stellar cast. It's a good one to watch with the commentary on at some point, to learn about all the details and time period inside info. :) I'm really looking forward to the Part II of Downton, too.

We had sun today and the crescent moon showed herself tonight, flying high above Jupiter...happy~making :~)

Thank you, Kerri!

Helen ~ thanks :) I saw the sliver moon last night too: so beautiful with flocks of birds flying above it. I love the full moon but there's something tugging at me about the first sliver moon.

The feathers are stunning. Not copies of feathers, but the ESSENCE of what a feather is. I love them. Where will they be shown?

All joys to you,
