time for tea with Iron & Wine

The opening went great yesterday. It was a day of torrential rain, old and new friends, 2 straight hours of people, and my PopPop almost knocking over a floor sculpture. I enjoyed myself. I also gained some good perspective on my work and got some ideas for new pieces.

Thank you so so much for all your well-wishes yesterday!

Today is a day for tea, painting the kitchen and Iron & Wine.

Thanks, Barbara!

Helen ~ Yup, they are real, untreated leaves, sewn when fresh. I love those pieces. :)

Jenna ~ They need to make editing options more available. I always misspell something. The new kitchen will be...green. I think. Unless it makes it look underwater. Tim loves green. There are a lot of nice greens in the Anthropology catalogue we were looking at. It's only one wall of color, with cabinets and the sink covering a lot, so it won't be too much. the other 3 walls are white, and the inside of the arch is yellow. I'll be posting pictures when everything is picture-perfect!
