ritual

breakfast

heating a polaroid over hot tea

I'm enjoying the blossoming of some new rituals in my life. Rituals beyond the daily teapot. I feel there is room for improvement in my day so things stay fresh. It's begun to be a tradition that, on Monday mornings, we celebrate the last of the long weekend nursing shifts that Tim works by making something special for breakfast. Yesterday I made a quiche. Perhaps cinnamon rolls next week?

Your quiche looks amazing! I like the idea of a special Monday ritual too, hmm... you've got me thinking.

Because Mondays, you know, they're Monday. Let me know if you come up with something good. :)

I was looking forward to those cinnamon rolls and would LOVE a recipe if you have one. Safe travels to Florida...I think I would like to be there next Monday too. How delightful if I could teleport to any city I wanted for a few hours every Monday. That is the magical super power that I desire. Just throwing out there....:)Thanks for bringing up Monday rituals and stirring up the imagination.

I like the idea of a Monday ritual. It's my favorite day of the week - I should celebrate it!

I have ricotta, swiss chard, and leeks in my frig so I typed all of them into google the other day for curiosity's sake and a delicious looking crostada popped up. It looked remarkably like your quiche. I might have to make it now.

stephanie ~ I am going to try the recipe here: http://farmama.typepad.com/farmama/2011/04/homemade-doughnuts-.html which can be made into rolls

And how funny that they are from an Aunt Brookie!

helen ~ I grew up in florida and only recently tim and I drove down there to visit my old town, Venice. we enjoyed it and I loved seeing the spanish moss again and all the familiar plants and wildlife (gators.) I'm looking forward to being down there once more.

elizabeth ~ yum, ricotta is so good with everything. your ingredients would make a perfect quiche!
