a heartbeat moon

tonight's sliver moon

tonight's sliver moon

The light is fading into outdoor chirps and whistles; the fan hums determinedly. This morning I made whole-wheat blueberry pancakes for our monday breakfast, and tonight the sky is metamorphosing into berry blue again, blushing near the horizon and ignoring everything far above where stars are already winking.

I have been eating watermelon all day in thick decadent slices.

The polaroid above shook slightly from my heartbeat through my hands as the shutter was opened a little longer than usual in the dusk ~ I guess I could say my heartbeat is a double moon.
