I was looking through my box of photos and realized I've never shared these. 35mm film shots from our road trip honeymoon through nova scotia, june 2007. We had the best time. When we hiked along the coast we could hear the whales breathing.
That really can't be topped. Only remembered with pleasure. Returning to see more, and perhaps to explore newfoundland and labrador are on our minds for sometime in the future.

Oh how dreamy! What views! Thank-you for sharing!
oh so lovely. I'd like to visit Nova Scotia. Beautiful photos. x
Around what areas were these photographs taken in Nova Scotia? I've gone many summers with my (native Canadian!) friends to the tiny town of Advocate, and occasionally Halifax. I miss it so. Those red rocks and the freezing cold Bay of Fundy...
And by the way, they're beautiful photographs :)
Well, if you do come back again and you're in the Annapolis valley needing a place to stay, let me know. We love visitors.
So beautiful! We didn't quite make it to Nova Scotia on our "babymoon" but we did a road trip to Fundy park and it was such an amazing place. One of my favorite places was camping on Grand Manon island right on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean with whales below. If you haven't been go on your next trip!
Brooke! Those are wild Pink Lady Slipper orchids! (I think.) How wonderful! I think they are Cypripedium acaule : http://www.naturenorth.com/spring/flora/pladysl/Fplady.html but I'm not sure. Terrestrial orchids are awesome... Gorgeous archives! Thank you for sharing your memories.

Nova Scotia is definitely on our list of places to see - if not just to hear the whales!

These are all amazing shots! I really need to break out the film camera... so inspiring. I've never been to NS. Would love to someday, especially after seeing these.
What beautiful photos....and you heard whales breathing...oh!
You have a heart-shape hole behind you, on the rock in the last photo :~)
