sx-70 camera, polaroid 600 expired film
There was a bird here. A bold cheese thief. Quicker than the shutter of an sx-70 polaroid land camera.

So I captured him with 35mm film. He was easily lured in with truffle cheese.

In fact, I was pretty confident I could get him on polaroid. So I tried again. But, alas. He was there when I took it and yet when it developed, no brilliant blue bird.

We played together for quite a while that morning.

i love it! i've never been able to catch a bird on film!
Beautiful bird! Film is such a wonderfully mysterious thing. My husband works with pin-hole cameras and it amazes me the difference between what I see as he's taking an image and what comes out. Fascinating because you know some fraction of the birds presence is recorded there somewhere, however faint!

That naughty cute little thief! I love these images, especially the sx-70s.
