38.5 weeks

He was moving a lot when I took that picture this morning. I look such a funny shape ~ you can really see his back. A stranger this week mentioned to me that my bump seemed small for how far along I was ~ was I eating healthy?

I'm sure you know this, but don't say things like that to pregnant people. It makes us worry.

almost there.

Remember back when my reminder chalkboard looked like this?

A good morning so far. We're going for a little hike before tim leaves to start his weekend shifts. I feel full of energy, probably because I took about 4 naps yesterday.

Have a wonderful weekend! And thank you for all the book recommendations! I'm stopping by the library later today because some of them are already on hold for me. Can't wait to dive in.

Oh man! Number one rule when talking to a pregnant woman: you can only tell her how gorgeous she looks. (And you do!!)

When I was pregnant I carrier quite big from about 6 months on -- which meant about 3 months of people saying to me pretty much any time I went out: "You look ready to pop!" "You sure there aren't twins in there??" "Wow, you're huge!"

In retrospect, I think people see a pregnant belly and feel excited about that and about what it means for the universe and just want to say something and then they mainly do that indelicately ... but in the throes of it, all I could think was that they were intimating something was wrong with my baby.

I'm thinking that if there's a next time for us, I'll be able to just blow it off ... but we'll see.
